We define a wall light as a lighting device fixed vertically (on a wall, a wooden pillar ...). The latter is more generally designed in aluminum, steel, aluminum foundry but also in stainless steel or brass. Its optics or diffuser may be in polycarbonate, glass, fabric, plaster, openwork wood (decorative diffuser style) but prefer glass for its recyclable qualities, and quality of transparency and light reflection.

Regarding the powers, our choice fell on a low voltage installation in 12V which allows us to illuminate exteriors with powers from 1W to 5W maximum. You will find other sources and other powers, but think about enlightening fair and lasting.
In our experience, the advantages of a wall light are:
discretion (10cm to 32cm height and / or width combined)
aesthetic (lighting effect on the support)
create a markup without the risk of hitting the luminaire with its feet
For the disadvantages which are always more difficult to qualify:
Often grazing lighting can bring out the defects of a plaster.
more difficult to install with the cable routing (depending on materials and configuration)

The choice of wall lamp depends on a multitude of criteria. Your customer's choice and taste and your aesthetic line of conduct. Added to this is the choice of location.
