Chef or Master of Lights?

This gastronomic restaurant and its Chef Christophe BACQUIE have an excellent reputation. Nonetheless, there is still a strong desire to constantly evolve and perfect every detail. This is one of the reasons why we were asked to design a lighting plan for the terrace of the restaurant of l'Hôtel du Castellet. The chef’s cuisine is all about "emotion and passion". We chose a soft and serene lighting scheme that will not distract guests while they are enjoying some of the best dishes in the world.

A key objective for the lighting in the dining areas was to design it in such a way that you can see without being seen. These mini spotlights (mini scope In-lite) can be adjusted to avoid shadows on the table that might stop guests from admiring the gastronomic delights that are served up.

We added a slightly more dramatic light effect on the doormat with the name "Restaurant Christophe BACQUIE". The use of a deflector concentrates the light flow here and prevents glare.
